Shalynn Johnson has been a resident of Saint Augustine since 1989.  She grew up here and attended all of her primary education in St. Johns County.  Hard work and dedication were instilled in her from a young age, being a nationally ranked competitive dancer since the age of 6.  Although she has traveled all over the country through her dancing, nowhere ever felt like “home” quite like St. Augustine did.  She was an artistic director of the Academy of Performing Arts for 4 years and trained many St. Johns County children in the performing arts.  She attended Flagler College and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in 2011.  She also returned to her high school alma mater, Pedro Menendez High School and was a 9-12 grade teacher for several years. She has also previously taught English Language Arts, American History, and Civics at Buddy Taylor Middle School in Palm Coast. Currently she teaches American History and Civics at Sebastian Middle School here is St. Augustine.

She began her career in real estate as Team Johnson of Watson Realty Corp's administrative assistant and marketing specialist.  She went on to become a fully licensed sales agent and worked on Team Johnson of Watson Realty's foreclosure division, one of the areas largest foreclosure teams. The members of that team were a 25 million dollar producing team.
